How is Market Scope better than other directories? - We can't speak for anyone else's research, but we can tell you that our directories have an excellent reputation for accuracy and usefulness. Each year we update each profile through direct company contact, and throughout the year we track the industry through the Internet, trade journals and other sources. We have built our reputation on the high quality of our data and we work hard to maintain that reputation.

Is Market Scope available on CD? - Yes, Market Scope is now available electronically. The CD allows you to export information into Microsoft ExcelTM (or other spreadsheet software) for analysis purposes, and includes data for all 358 CBSAs (beyond the top 100 available in the book), plus market share data for all 48 US contiguous states and the District of Columbia. Free demo disks are available, or you can download the demo from our website in the Downloads section of TradeDimensions.com. Can I use Market Scope with the Marketing Guidebook? - Yes, now that Market Scope presents its data by Marketing Guidebook definition, both resources can be used to gain a more complete understanding of a given market or company. Some figures may be slightly different, since they are created at different points in the year (the data in Marketing Guidebook comes from a report generated in June, the data in market Scope from a report run in November).

Where does the information for Market Scope come from? - All data is pulled from the Trade Dimensions Retail Site Database of individual store locations. This information is then configured to match the markets defined by ACNielsen Scantrack®, DMA®, IRI InfoScan®, and CBSA, as well as Trade Dimensions markets.
